Vitamin D is essential for several functions in our body, including immune system. While the body can make Vitamin D itself through exposure to sunlight, most of the population in Europe has insufficiency or even deficiency in vitamin D3, caused by not enough sunlight, use of sunscreen, office work etc.
The vitamin D in Puori D3 is extracted from lanolin, a natural component of sheep’s wool. The wool is gently sheared without harming the animal, then cleaned and purified. A precursor to vitamin D is extracted, then exposed to UV light to form an active vitamin D (comparable to the way sunlight initiates formation of vitamin D on our skin). Afterwards, the vitamin D is mixed with organic virgin coconut oil.
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and combing it with organic coconut oil improves absorption.
Finally a naturally sourced vitamin D with high enough potency.
